The Formaldehyde Test Kit helps identify indoor air
Formaldehyde is a common indoor air pollutant with a pungent odor. Wood
products such as furniture and cabinetry, as well as fabric coatings such as
carpeting are listed as one of the main sources of formaldehyde. Formaldehyde
commonly resides in the glues that hold these items together, and if not cured
properly during the production process, formaldehyde can escape and enter the
air of a home or workplace and cause adverse health issues. This chemical may be
hazardous or toxic in nature to people. Common symptoms to look for include
burning eyes and throat, watering eyes, nausea, breathing problems, asthmatic
issues, and more.
- Quick and easy to use
- Identifies and provides concentration levels for Formaldehyde
- Includes 1 Sample Collection Device for measurement of room exposure or
- Meets OSHA Accuracy Requirements
- Report emailed in PDF Format in approximately 7-10 days from receipt of
- Same samples used by professionals
The Formaldehyde Test Kit identifies and measures the concentration levels of
formaldehyde at a desired test location. The included sample device can absorb
Formaldehyde particulates (particles) by collecting air from an indoor area of
up to 2800 square feet over a 24-48 hour testing period (preferred sampling time
is 24 hours). This kit is useful to evaluate formaldehyde in homes and in
establishments including hospitals, schools, hotels, airports, etc.
The final lab report is included in the cost of the Formaldehyde Test Kit.
Concentration levels of formaldehyde are reported in parts per million (ppm),
and are compared to what is considered to be normal. Formaldehyde can be
detected at levels as low as 0.002 parts per million (ppm) for a 24 hour test.
Once the lab receives your sample for analysis, your report will be generated
and emailed or mailed within 7-10 business days.
