Our popular recycled tire products are now available fused with hemp. The combination of a pesticide-free natural fiber hemp and the vulcanized rubber create a material that is not only strong and fashionable but is also kind to the environment.  This recycled rubber is made by using a groundbreaking, patented process, which takes tires from landfills and meticulously transforms them into a high grade sheet rubber capable of being stitched. The tires are ground up so finely that the chemical bonds are broken. This rubber powder then undergoes a "vulcanizing" process, which means it has been treated with heat and pressure, thereby imparting greater strength, elasticity and durability. The rubber is then fused to natural fiber hemp material which is grown without pesticides or chemicals.  The end result is a tough, weather-resistant material that is equally stylish and practical and is completely animal-free!
