The 100% recycled plastic Spinner Compost Tumbler takes the hard work out of
composting. Inside the bin, the walls are ribbed providing added strength and
superior mixing action. With 20 ventilation slots, the compost inside the bin will always have enough
oxygen to keep it well aerated, and when standing upright, the slots allow
compost tea to drain out easily into the soil. A single hole on each of the four
panels of the bin make an easy-to-use port for a compost thermometer. This makes
it easy to get a quick, mess-free temperature reading on the compost inside
without even opening the bin.
To get started composting, just throw some material into the Spinner Compost
Tumbler and give it a spin. When the composter gets full and heavy, you can push
down on one side and pull up on the other and still make it tumble without much
effort at all. You will be impressed with the way
this composter quickly breaks down the material
in the composter with just a few turns, improving the already good
compost tumbling action.
The Spinner Compost Tumbler holds up to 60 gallons (or about 9.3 cubic feet),
and the sturdy, powder coated steel legs hold the bin securely off the ground.
Along with being off the ground, the twist-locking lids on either end keep
animal pests out and away from the compost. The legs also lock into place, so
moving the Spin Bin in the yard is easy.
Many people prefer the action of the Spinner Compost Tumbler because the design makes it
easy
to keep the compost turned and aerated. A well-aerated bin
helps break down materials into ready compost faster. A daily tumble
will produce earthy dark brown compost in as little as 21 days if
conditions are perfect. Your specific composting time depends on your
mix of materials, moisture of the compost, weather, etc. For the best
results, we suggest using 75% dry ingredients (leaves, grass clippings,
shredded newspaper) and 25% moist waste (vegetable scraps, dead
flowers, etc). The composter will work with any blend of organic
materials, but it may take longer to complete the process.
