Our
True Bayberry Candles Bring Holiday Cheer to Any Occasion!
Abundant
Earth’s True Bayberry Candles are
made primarily from the wax of the berries of the bayberry shrub, and
have been the
traditional Christmas candles since colonial times. Burned to the nub
on Christmas Eve,
they are said to bring good luck for the coming year, though we find
these remarkable
candles burn excellently year round!
Picked each autumn, these tiny
berries are placed into a pot of boiling water. The
berries sink to the bottom, but the wax coating floats to the top. The
wax is then
skimmed, strained and ready for making candles. The final product
consists of a blend of
approximately 80% bayberry wax and 20% beeswax. Bayberry candles, like
beeswax candles, will
sometimes develop a white powder on the surface called bloom, which is
easily rubbed off
with a soft dry towel. Bloom is normal, and does not affect the quality
of the candle.
Abundant Earth's True Bayberry
Candles have a very light and gentle aroma (No strong bayberry essence
added - This is the real thing!),
and bring style and elegance to any occasion. These beautiful hand
dipped tapers are

petrochemical-based
paraffin waxes. Additionally,
our wicks contain no lead! Enjoy

"Hi...I
bought several pairs of your bayberry candles
for this past Christmas and gave them to family and friends as
pre-Christmas
presents. Loving the little saying on the box, I burned mine
on Christmas Eve
and loved how they burned. They are wonderful!! The next
day (being Christmas)
my family and friends all remarked how wonderful the candles were.
They, too,
burned theirs on Christmas Eve and enjoyed them thoroughly. So thanks
for your
excellent product - you now have life-long customers...!!" --

"Well,
I've spent more on a present for my wife,
but never had one as well received...We followed the
time-honored procedure
for lighting and burn-down. Christmas morning there was a tiny bit of
wick ash
and that's all! No blobs of wax. We are certain to enjoy health and
happiness in 2001.
Thank you for being there."
