True Bayberry Candles
True Bayberry Candles are
made primarily from the wax of the berries of the bayberry shrub, and
have been the
traditional Christmas candles since colonial times. Burned to the nub
on Christmas Eve,
they are said to bring good luck for the coming year, though we find
these remarkable
candles burn excellently year round!
Abundant Earth no longer offers True Bayberry Candles. However, a
search on Google will bring up many fine purveyors of True Bayberry Candles. We
encourage you to make sure your bayberry candle selection contains at least 80 to 85% true bayberry wax with the balance being vegetable
wax or beeswax. We do not encourage the use of any candles that contain
paraffin.
