The quality of materials used in manufacturing these fashionable portfolios is so good that you would probably not believe they were produced from recycled car tires - but it's true! Using a groundbreaking, patent-pending process, tires are taken from landfills and meticulously transformed into a high grade sheet rubber capable of being stitched. The tires are ground up so finely that the chemical bonds are broken. This rubber powder then undergoes a "vulcanizing" process, which means it has been treated with heat and pressure, thereby imparting greater strength, elasticity and durability. The end result is a tough,  weather-resistant material that is equally stylish and practical and is completely animal-free!
