The So-Clear Dual Cartridge Refillable Under-Counter Water Filter removes chlorine, lead, scale and hundreds of other contaminants from your household or office water. These filters are designed to be refilled about every 10,000 gallons (or about 1 year). Some people may get more or less life from the filters depending on the quality of your water. The Standard Filter is the filter of choice for most people in most situations. Its filter efficiency is at about 85-90% and will remove up to 98% of chlorine. This filter is very adequate for most household water situations, and generally preferred because it is not likely to clog.	The Nitrates Filter is an ideal filter to deal with nitrates in your water. Cartridge will last approximately 1 year and removes 2500 ppm. A proper water test should be conducted to find out if nitrates are a problem for you.
The Crypto-Giardia Filter has an efficiency rating of 99.99%. If giardia, cryptosporidium, and cysts are of concern, this is the filter of choice. However, this filter is more likely to clog, and may have a shorter overall useful life span. If you do use this filter, you may want to also install a whole-house sediment pre-filter to prolong the life of the Crypto-Giardia filter.	The Fluoride Filter takes care (up to 95%) of this toxic substance that is added to most municipal water systems - Fluoride. In many areas, it is added to our water under the premise that it is good for our teeth.

• Third Faucet Kit - The third faucet is a small bent tube faucet that installs in a spare hole in your sink. With the Third Faucet Kit, only water used at the third faucet will be filtered.

Please note: Fluoride Pre-Filters (with pH of water between 4.5 and 6) will last up to 5500 gallons if your fluoride level is less than 1-ppm (parts/million), 2750 gallons at 1-ppm, 1400 gallons at 2-ppm, 1100 gallons at 3-ppm, 800 gallons at 4-ppm, and 600 gallons at 5-ppm.
