This Maintenance-Free So-Clear Under-Counter Water Perma- Filter works beneath any home or office sink to filter up to 50,000 gallons of cold water on demand! Using a combination of patented trace minerals (Copper-Zinc, which has been tested to NSF standard 42 and 61), and coconut shell carbon. This system will remove and/or reduce up to 98% of chlorine, sediment, algae, molds, scale, bad taste, odors, and other undesirable contaminants that may effect the quality of your water supply. Unlike carbon only filters, bacteria can't grow inside our bacteriostatic filters. Bacteriostatic means that bacteria won't grow in the filter media. Special Note: You may get more or less life from the filter depending on the quality of your water. Taste and the amount of usage are two determinants of the life of the cartridge. This filter can last up to 5 years or 50,000 gallons of water with moderate usage. However, if your water begins to taste "funny," then its probably time to recycle your filter and install a new one.
