Everyone Wins! is a handbook of more than 150 cooperative games and activities for enhancing conflict resolution and communication skills and building
self-esteem. All activities have been tested and are graded according to appropriate age level (1+ to adult), size of group, indoor or outdoor location, and activity level, and
include notes on materials needed, special hints and variations for group leaders.
The Friendly Classroom is a handy resource book for teachers, parents, and all who work with children from 6 through 12 years old. It contains materials tested for over ten
years which help children gain insight into human feelings, capabilities, and strengths; enable them to develop open communication; and aid each child in developing
self-confidence about her/his ability to think creatively about preventing and solving
conflicts.
Playing with Fire extends the fast-growing field of conflict resolution to
work with young adults. Drawing from the experience of successful programs in the US, Canada and the UK, it presents a training program that helps young adults explore
situations of conflict and interpersonal violence while learning and practicing skills and strategies for turning destructive conflicts into constructive dialogs.
Using carefully crafted, experience-based learning exercises, Playing with Fire
explores the dynamics of anger and hurt, conflict, listening, communication, cooperation, and assertiveness. It develops the potential of mediation and the need for
face-to-face social change, while using a compelling fire metaphor, dramatic techniques (role plays, tableaux, improvisation, etc), and careful pacing to reinforce the learning. It
is a supremely practical, ready-to-use guide and reference for teachers, counselors, group leaders, and others dedicated to helping young adults learn democratic processes.
