Best Friends also reaches across the nation, helping humane groups, individual people, and entire communities to set up spay/neuter, shelter, foster, and adoption programs in their own neighborhoods, cities, and states.

Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) : Uses law, science, and the support of more than 400,000 members nationwide to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all living things.

People For Puget Sound is a non-profit citizens' group working to protect and restore the health of Puget Sound and the Northwest Straits through education and action. Our vision is of a clean and healthy Sound, teeming with fish and wildlife, cared for by the people who live here.

Rainforest Action Network : Works to protect the Earth's rainforests and support the rights of their inhabitants through education, grassroots organizing, and non-violent direct action.

Trees for Life : Empowers people by demonstrating that in helping each other, we can unleash extraordinary power that impacts our lives. We do this by helping people plant fruit trees in developing countries. Each tree protects the environment and provides a low-cost, self-renewing source of food for a large number of people.
